The Financial Accounting Unit, which is part of the Accounting & Regulatory Reporting Department, is responsible for ongoing accounting up to the preparation of the financial statements of UniCredit Bank Austria AG in accordance with IFRS and the local GAAP (UGB). In addition, the respective unit is in charge of preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the Bank Austria Group as well as the FINREP, FINUS, etc. reports. Ensuring the correct application of accounting policies and collaboration in projects round off the department's profile. We are looking for an ambitious FINREP Expert with immediate effect! What you’ll be doing

  • Management of the quarterly FINREP process (IFRS and Local GAAP) incl. co-ownership of the process, improving and enhancing where necessary
  • Interactions with supervisory authorities in case of clarification requests
  • Working with colleagues across finance, risk, liquidity/ALM, middle and front office to support group reporting and analysis.
  • Participation in the preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements in accordance with IFRS
  • Participation in the preparation of the notes
  • Involvement in ad hoc- and IT-projects.
  • Support for internal and external audits

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Very good knowledge
    Finer IFRS according to Annex V (templates and related instructions) and the connection with the Financial Reporting and other regulatory reporting (Pillar III, Corep…)
    Finrep prepared in accordance with the National GAAP (FINUS)
  • Good experience on OeNB reporting in terms of process and technical structure with specific skills on AUREP data model and Abacus reporting tool
  • Experience on reporting based on granular data
  • Qualified accountant – ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent – with proven FINREP technical experience from the Banking sector
  • Strong financial reporting bias to your CV with up to date understanding of IFRS and reporting standards
  • Confident individual willing to accept a high degree of autonomy, with proven abilities to build up productive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • very good knowledge of German and English
